Digital Connections
Our dreams and aspirations for the first Community Quilt were to bring warmth to the non tactile nature of social media through the process of quilting. Social media is a platform that keeps us connected to those that we don’t see on a regular basis, but can often lack a genuine spirit of collaboration. Quilts have historically been used to visually express individual and cultural identities and to keep loved ones warm. The act of quilting is and has been a communal effort to support a group visions.
