A radical approach to remembrance
This year we are very excited be part of Alien Race: Envisioning Sites of our Future Ancestors co-curated with Labkhand Olfatmanesh at LA Artcore. This group show “collectively explores our ancestral pasts as a path to reconciling our present and enacting our shared futures. The above ideals are set within the context of fluid identities, exchange of information, and healing.”
For our part, we are looking at radical approaches to remembrance. Together we will contemplate:
*In what ways can the past illuminate the present and guide the future?
*How are we shaped by the collective memory / How do we shape the collective memory?
*How can we give new life to what is no longer seen as useful?
